Background of Tarail Upazila

In the British era, the formation of a jute business center is now in the form of Tarail in the neighboring Ashok tree of the LSD Food Warehouse. Hats sit on Saturday and Tuesday every week in the adjacent areas of Kali Bari. Gradually walking on the walk, the small market started moving towards Ganj. Many people come here and settle down with the bright prospects of the market. At present, on the northern side of the Kali Bazar, the position of the settlers was noticed.

 

The area was included in the Badla thana for conducting administrative work in the thana. From the badla to the administrative convenience, a police outpost was built on the north side of the river Narasunda on the northern side of Damiha Bazar. Now this place is called the Thanahati. Boat was the only means of communication for people in the police station. The people had to go through the islands of the field in dry season. In order to facilitate the overall movement of the people, to construct the police outpost where the present thana building is located and in 1909, Badla thana was shifted and Tarail police station was inaugurated. The place was then part of the zamidari of Taljanga zamindar Raj Narayan Chowdhury. He donated this place to the people's convenience. The elderly people say that they have been named "Tara + aile" = "Tarail" by adding a dyke to the name of his wife Taramon Devi and the only one in the same area of contact. As the center of rice, jute business, the market opens as a river port. For the purchase of jute for the business of jute, various companies make their warehouse here. Office of various departments including officials of different departments of administration were introduced. Due to no official office space, the work of the office in the rented house and house at different places of the market is in progress. The thence cercle Officer of the office (Development) was present in the existing molasses room in the east side of the Jame Mosque of Tarail Bazar. The office of the Circle Officer (Revenue) was in the North-West corner of Kachari Pukur Par. As a result of gradual expansion of administrative activities, the development of the Upazila Parishad hall, the Upazila Parishad under the Upazila Parishad hall room, and the sub-divisional officer of the Upazila Parishad are now under construction (TTDC) and development of training centers and the transfer of other offices including the Thana Circle Officer (development).
